Studios Bourgos is located in the heart of Naxos Old Town, right next to the medieval Venetian Castle (Kastro), built in 1207 AD. It is an impressive monument which was built during the long Venetian rule (1204-1537 AD); it is located on a hill which is the natural acropolis of Naxos Town (Hora). A medieval town in the heart of the Aegean still in its original form, inhabited continuously since 1207. The external walls of the peripheral houses shape the wall of the Castle, which has only three entrance gates. It is very distinct and the whole area is a maze of alleys and passages and no cars are allowed.

The castle is almost perfectly preserved and it is one of the very few in Greece where still people live in it.

Naxos Old Town is a beautiful town of Cycladic architecture with a maze of narrow streets and tiny passages and makes an excellent resort.

Places to visit in the Old Town include is the Archaeological Museum with Mycenaean pottery and Cycladic figurines, the Venetian Castle where fortress walls are dated back to the 13th century. Inside the Castle is the Capuchines Monastery, the Catholic Cathedral, the Ursulines Monastery and the Catholic Episcopal Edifice.
